go ahead and get started. We're about three minutes over, which is our sweet spot. Perfect. So welcome once again. We're gonna go over the presentation, what we're gonna be talking about here in a second. But before we do that, I just want to run through some quick best practices for today's session so you know what to expect. So there is real time chat functionality there on the right side of your screen. There should be at least. That is currently enabled if you wanted to say hi to us. It looks like nobody said hi, but I'll say hi to you right now. Just like that. The sad part about it is that is gonna be closed throughout the remainder of the presentation just so that there's no distractions. We'll enable it again at the end once the presentation wraps up. That being said, the Q and A module. Hey, Lisa, what's up? The Q and A module will remain open throughout the entirety of the presentation. So at any point through Scott and through John's presentation, you can submit a question. Submit a question. Please don't forget to submit it, like if you have one. We're not gonna answer it right there in real time, but we're gonna hold all of those questions and answer them at the designated q and a time at the end of the webinar. But that module will remain open. You can submit a question at any point of time throughout the presentation. If you have to drop, if you have to leave the webinar, don't worry about it. This is recorded. We're gonna send out the recording to all registrants, and that'll be live and available on demand. I think once the webinar presentation wraps up, you could even use the same link that's in your email now, but we will also package that up nicely for you and send you a dedicated email with the actual recording link. Aside from that, enjoy the presentation. Enjoy the webinar. Ask questions. Give us your feedback. We always wanna make this better. Like I mentioned before, this is, our second one, so we wanna continue to optimize. We wanna make sure that we're giving you the content that you're looking for, and we're very excited for this specific one. So with that being said, we can transition over. Gonna remove myself, Patty. Let me give the floor to you. Hello. Thank you, Sam. Hi, everyone. We're so happy to have you here today to learn more about electronic payments and our partnership with them. I am Patty Pineda, and I'm the strategic alliances executive. So I manage our third party partnerships, such as electronic payments and all the other integration partners that we have. So today we're so excited to have electronic payments with us and to have you learn all about them because through our integration with electronic payments, Sampro users can process payments securely and efficiently right inside the system without having to leave. And today, we are lucky to have Scott Reese from electronic payments. He's gonna give you an overview of the partnership, and we also have our very own John Lasey who will show you how the integration actually works. So first up, we have Scott. Scott has spent more than let's see here. We got Scott on the screen. Yes, we do. Scott has spent more than twenty five years in the payment processing industry. He brings deep experience and passion for helping businesses succeed. He got a start way back in two thousand in the electronic check processing world, back when dial up was the norm and credit cards were just starting to take over as the preferred way to pay. Over the years, Scott has worked with major processing companies. He's partnered with financial institutions. For the past eleven years, he's worked with electronic payments. His experience spans all types of merchants, and we are so glad to have him here and to have him as our rep for Sam Pro. He is based in Cleveland, Ohio and Scott is a loyal supporter of all Cleveland sports no matter the season, no matter the score. So Scott, take it away. Hi, Patty. Thank you so much for that introduction. It is, first of all, it's a privilege to be here and it's a pleasure to work with all of you. And thank you everybody on this call for your time. So Patty mentioned in twenty eighteen, electronic payments approach data basics about an integration into Sampro. And what the developers came up with was a very feature rich integration that's simple to use, it's easy to implement, but it's got a very big punch to it. And basically this integration is going to save your accounts receivable teams a ton of time, and it's going to help you streamline your credit card processing by reducing the redundancy and cross referencing of your current processor with the payments and invoices, matching those up in the client site within Sampro. I think before we get into the nuts and bolts of this, I just wanna tell you a little bit about electronic payments. EPI, electronic payments, has a great story. Been with, like Petty said, I've been with them for over eleven years now. And Michael Nardi, the founder of Electronic Payments, founded this company in his dorm room at Boston College in the year two thousand. And he was a very good programmer. He soon realized that he could translate that skill or transfer that skill into the payment processing industry. And over the last twenty five years, EPI has grown from a one man show on Long Island to one of the largest processing companies in the country. And they've got offices. They have hundreds of employees. They have offices in New York and Florida. And as I said, I've been with this company a long time. And I think that one of the reasons for the exponential growth of this company is because of their emphasis on customer service. And I know that sounds like it might be trite, but it's true. And this particular integration is a perfect example of how electronic payments can help meet customer needs. My hope is that when you use EPI as a processor and processing payments within Sampro, you're not only gonna get this incredible integration within the Sampro software that's gonna save your AR teams a lot of unnecessary work, but you're also gonna improve the customer service of your current processor. I know that we do offer world class customer service and that's shown through, we've got twenty fourseven in house technical support, but also that customer service, it begins with me as well. So all of the customers that we have on board with Databasics right now, they all have my cell phone number. And if you need anything off the bat, I tell everybody to feel free to call my cell phone number at any time. I'm at your service and proud to do so. So having said that, I mentioned that integration has a big punch to it. And I guess here's the What this integration allows you to do within SAMpro is you do not need a physical credit card terminal. You do not need an outside payment gateway. So there's no need to log into separate payment gateways. There's no searching for past credit card payments and amounts and dates and invoice numbers. With this integration, there's no messy batch reports. There's no processing a credit card and then having to reconcile it within your client site. So you don't have to worry about storing that credit card information because it's all done within SAM Pro. So there's no more manual entry of credit card numbers, expiration dates, CVV codes. Once it's been entered, it's already stored within the system. So when you get paid with an invoice, when an invoice is paid within the system with a credit card, it's already, it's marked as paid within the client site and the credit card information is automatically stored for future transactions. And you can also do this from the back office. You can do it in the field with Tech Anywhere, and you can also run recurring payments with this integration. That's really the value of this integration. I mentioned earlier that this is an integration that's easy to set up. Once you create an account with electronic payments, all Databasics needs is the login credentials, and we pass those along to Databasics. Once they have those credentials, it's simply a They just simply turn on the process payment tab, which John is gonna show you in just a minute. And once that's activated, you're ready to go. EPI, we do not charge for this integration. There's no monthly fee or setup fee for this integration. And basically we make our money on the processing side. So in conclusion on this, there are three just big takeaways from this, I think. And one of them is EPI's processing experience. The second one is a time and money saving aspect of this integration. And the last is just that ease of implementation, which I just touched on. So having said that, I think John is familiar with the nuts and bolts of the integration. And I think he's gonna show you some slides regarding the information and how it actually looks within SAMpro. John, I think I'll just turn it over to you at this point. Okay. Well, as Scott said that it's been integration since twenty eighteen, I'm a support specialist here with the data basics. I've done a lot of work with the credit card processing. So each, each of your employees can submit credit card transactions from their own workstation. They don't need to have like Scott said, they don't need to have a credit card machine at their desk, or they don't have to go run to where a terminal is at. Don't have to log into a separate website to to do the processing. You can make your submit credit card processing from your work order for COD payments. It could be used for your PM maintenance invoices. If you have tech anywhere, the technicians can use it, and it saves them time because the actual credit card is not stored in SAM Pro. We store an alias, and then that is available to everybody. So it's not like you have to have the credit card written down in in a secure location so you're compliant. But, the alias allows anybody to access that credit card information and process a payment. Okay. So we do for your air cash receipts. We do it for preventive maintenance pre billing. You could you have the option to have it when you run your PM invoices that it automatically bills the credit card or not. You can have it for master contracts and your work order COD payments. Okay? You could also use it for credit card credits within Sampro, but that requires that the site client site has an alias set up. That's the only way you're gonna be able to process a credit card credit with Sampro. Your actual card the actual card details are stored with EPI. It's not stored in SAM Pro at all. So you there's no way anybody's gonna get the actual customer's credit card number. We I'll show you the process here shortly, but we submit that information to EPI. EPI sends back a token, and that's what's stored on the client's site. This also keeps you compliant then with the best practices for your financial and banking industries. Okay. So what happens is on the client site, and there'll be more here, there's a payment alias button that gets selected, and it opens up a window. And you actually key in the credit card with the expiration date and their, the three digit ID on the card. And what Sampro does is Sampro sends that out to EPI. EPI takes the credit card information, verifies that it's a valid credit card. And if it is, then it returns the alias, which gets stored on the site. Now on the when you get the alias back, the mass credit card number, you will see the first four and the last four digits of the credit card number, but that's all you're gonna see. So so again, select the payment alias button. It'll go out and and do it, and then it gets stored here in the client record in the client site record. Once you have a an alias entered in your air cash receipts, you process your air cash receipts like you normally would. The only difference is gonna be that you're gonna select this process payment button in your air cash receipt. When you do that, you'll get a window that's gonna ask you, do you wanna use the alias on-site? Or if you tell it no selection, it will allow you to manually enter a credit card. So you're not locked into using the card that was, created that created the alias. Okay. Again, no selection. It's manual entry. You select the alias. It'll process to the, credit card on file. Again, manual entry. You key in the credit card number and information, or you just select the alias. It'll go out, and it'll send a message out to EPI. EPI, again, will verify the information. And if it's approved, it will send a response back. And you'll get on your AR cash receipt. You'll get the transaction ID for that accepted credit card transaction. At that time, that invoice is considered paid. You cannot reverse this AR cash receipt. On, like you can do if it was a check, you could void the AR cash receipt with a credit card payment. You can't void that or cancel it. For PM billing. K? If you have a an alias on-site, when you run your PM billing for your invoices, it's going to look to that site to see if there's the alias there. Depending on how you have your AR terms entered, and there's a registry setting, the AR term is gonna determine whether or not that credit card alias can be used to charge the credit card right away when you generate that PM invoice. You can have it not do that if you have a customer that does not wanna have their credit card charged right away. Or if they do, you can set it up with the correct AR terms. And that way you get your money quicker because then you don't have to wait for them to send in a payment or or process an AR cash receipt when they say go ahead and pay pay it on the credit card. You'll get a report that shows you what's been paid, what invoices have been paid via the credit card with the approval number. You can also with a for those of you that use master contracts, the master contracts has its own payment alias, which is separate from the client site. So you could have a payment alias on the client site and then set up a different payment alias on your master contract. So maybe they give you one credit card for normal time and material service work billing, and maybe they've got another credit card that they want that their maintenance is applied to. Tech Anywhere can use the credit card processing. What it'll do is when they go through their process of closing out their ticket, they can select that they want to do the payment. When they do the payment, it will pull up the, credit card alias. They which means they don't have to get a credit card from the customer while they're there. It'll automatically pull up their credit card to charge that for that work order. And then that charge will go on the COD tab of the work order for you. So when you go to process the payment for that work order, it's gonna show that you've already received payment. Yeah. As a user within Sampro from the work order, you can also process a COD payment from the COD tab on the work order. It's gonna ask you that you're doing a credit card amount. It's gonna ask you how much you wanna put in. It doesn't have to be for the full amount. It's going to be invoiced. It could be a partial payment. You're gonna do the process payment button. And, again, it's gonna ask you if you wanna use the site alias or not. If it's got the site alias, it'll go ahead and process it, and you've got your credit card charged. You're also able to copy a credit card alias. This is useful if you have, several sites that are all paid by one client. You could you could go to each individual client site and create a payment alias with the same credit card, and it'll all be individual, aliases. Or you can create an alias for one of the sites, And then you can copy that alias to all of the other sites that that client is responsible for. It's just an easier way of getting the alias on the multiple client sites. You can do it in one step as opposed to having to go to say ten or twenty different sites. So it goes through and ask you it's based off of what client is on your COP tab of the site, which is what the link is. It's gonna look for that. In any of the sites that have that same client ID, then it's gonna ask give you a list of what sites are available, and you can pick and choose which ones you wanna copy to. And that's pretty much it. It's pretty simple. With the integration, once you get set up with EPI, you or EPI will send us the credentials and passwords. There's some setup on your IIS server to create communication to EPI, and then we have some setup within SAMpro to record the correct account numbers, passwords so that the charges can get processed correctly. Once that's done, then we do a little bit of training with you. Takes less than an hour to show you how to process these credit card payments. All in all, the whole setup on Sampro side is probably about two hours or less. So it doesn't take much. John, thank you so much for that in-depth information. I didn't get a chance to say before that, you know, John is one of ours. I think I mentioned that in the intro, and he has very, very deep knowledge of the integration. So we really appreciate you sharing that with us. And as you were talking, we actually got some questions. So I wanna share them with you. And either, John, maybe you can answer them or if it's more appropriate for Scott. Actually, this first one, I think we can shoot to Scott. So, Scott, does electronic payments support Canadian merchants or is it US only? At the current time, it's US only. Okay. Okay. That's good to know. For payments collected in the field, and this could be for John or Scott. Actually, maybe, John, you could answer this. For payments collected in the field, do you require any special hardware for the technician? No. Not currently with the integration with EPI. That that all gets handled via the Tech app. Previously, you did have to have hardware that would be connected to the technician's phone to process a credit card on-site. Okay. But with but now with the alias, they can process it just through the Tech Anywhere app. That's amazing. So that's definitely the benefit. Right? Yeah. That's good. We have a message, a question from Eric. He wants to know how do the credit card fees get handled? Does EPI charge the customer or the business for these? I'll take that one, John. Yeah. So electronic payments bills the customer. So if you sign up, the Databasic customer signs up and uses this integration, we bill monthly just like your current credit card processor. So we bill the merchant directly. Okay. That's great. And Dina has a question. Dina wants to know, can a client pay online, or is there a link that we can put on the invoice for them to pay directly? John or Scott, which one? John? Currently, no. If you want to have them pay via, let's say, your website or a website portal, that is external from Sampro. The only way that they would be able to pay that would be to contact somebody internally and then you would process the payment via the COD tab of the work order to get that credit card payment through. So I will add one thing to that. While a payment link is not going to integrate with the SAMpro integration, gateway that we provide that allows the integration will provide a couple of different features that will benefit the merchant when they sign up. So the gateway will allow, it'll allow you to A, process on your website. So if you've got a website, we can set you up with a pay now tab and you can customize the payment page however you want, invoice numbers, amounts, etcetera. And also it'll allow you to send emails to somebody with a payment link. But when they do pay that off of the link, then it's not going to integrate into SamPro and it would be separate reporting for those invoices. Correct. That'll be handled pretty much the same way like you do if you get an electronic check from user or if they send you a paper check. You still have to go into the AR cash receipts and then record that payment via the AR cash receipts. Okay. In other words, it's probably very similar to what you're doing now if you're using an outside processor to process a credit card. You've got to go back into Sampro to register that payment. Okay. That's great. I don't see any other questions. Is there anything else, John or Scott, that you want to add about the value of this integration for our users? I know, John, it's another thing I didn't have a chance to mention is that you're actually an administrator and an end user of Samper for something like seventeen years, right? Correct. I think you definitely know what you're talking about in this sense. If there are any questions about that you can reach out to John. But if you wanted to learn how to apply the integration or learn about pricing or how it works please reach out to your Databasex account manager, either Joe or Cheyenne. They're on hand to help you out. And If if you really wanna see a demo on how this works in action, get a hold of Joe or Cheyenne, and we can set up a demo in one of our test databases and walk you through the whole process. Perfect. That's great info. Thank you, John. You know what? I'd like to just add one more thing. So over the course of the last eight years, we've signed up dozens of merchants that are using this integration and merchants love this. And it's just a real time saver. And we have references available on request, Just reach out to me. I can pass you along to some people who, at the last user group meeting that I was at, I've had people come up to me and say, Scott, if you ever need a reference, just let me know. And I'm very grateful, but I think that's just an attestation to just the success of this integration, which I feel is very beneficial. Absolutely. That's why we have you here. And that's why we want our customers to know that, that this is available to them. So again, if you have any questions at all, reach out to your account manager. Like John said, can set up a demo for you or just walk through the pricing and how it works with you. So we are so glad that you stopped by today. We made it a sweet and short one for you because we know you have things to do. But we're going to be sending this recording out to you, as Sam mentioned at the beginning. So this will all be available to you to re review if you need to, and it will always be available to playback whenever you need it. So thank you again, everybody. Have a great day and thanks for joining us. Thank you.
